C’est La Vie — One of the most prominent French phrases ever, it found a way to firmly etch itself in my mind. What a beautiful and succinct expression it is! It an appraisal of your life; a commentary on the current state of mind; an acceptable answer to a myriad of questions you face from strangers, friends, and family alike.

It really sums up anyone’s life. You don’t have to be a famous person. You can be as ordinary as you want. When people are bored of reading about overachievers, they will look at your story — about a boy from a small town in South India. I am confident that That is Life, though not as romantic as its French cousin, is an appropriate title for an unknown man’s dramatised autobiography.

Most of this had been serialised in my previous company’s bulletin board called “Hyd Creative” between 2006 and 2008. I have reworked some of it though. The initial version ended quite abruptly in Y2K purely because I had run out of steam by then. However, now that I am older and hopefully wiser, I intend to continue the conversation and discuss the rest of that wretched but interesting thing called Life. I just need to take it easy on Netflix.

This series will have a tag #ThatIsLife to make it easier for you to read it all together.

Comments welcome and subject to ruthless deletion if I don’t like them!

Thanks for your time. I know you have better things to do and have chosen to spend some of those valuable moments reading this. I promise that I would try to make the tale with no twists as interesting as possible.
